Behaviour Teaching Assistant jobs - Dagenham

Job description

Teaching personnel are currently recruiting for a lovely school in Dagenham for experienced behaviour teaching assistants, to work in a SEN school in their challenging behaviour classes in the Dagenham area. We currently have a wide range of exciting TA positions available on full time, long-term supply basis incomplex behaviour classes, with the potential to move onto a permanent contract. The posts will vary across all key stages KS1-KS2, KS3-KS4 on a 1:1 and group support basis.

As these roles entail working with pupils with challenging behaviours and complex needs, previous experience of working with pupils in behaviour settings, PRU or youth work setting is ideal but not essential.

Successful candidates will:

  • Have previous experience working with behavioural difficulties for children or young adults, or have transferable skills from the sports coaching , metal health facilities or youth work sector
  • Be confident to deliver 1:1 support as well as supporting small groups
  • Be able to work and commit during school term time, full-time between 8.30am - 4.00pm and travel to Dagenham daily
  • Cable of dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Good understanding of working with young people with behavioural difficulties
  • Have Safeguarding training Level 2 as a minimum
  • Passion to work with behaviour or in PRU setting

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Team Teach qualification

Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references, as well as possessing an up to date Child workforce DBS that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
