Behaviour Support Worker

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint Behavioural Support Workers that are interested in working with disadvantaged young people within a Pupil Referral Unit, or Inclusion Unit environment.

Positions are available on both a part-time and full-time basis. We offer a well-resourced and modern working environment, both within Primary and Secondary Pupil Referral Units.

Experience in supporting children with challenging behaviour is essential, whether this be in a classroom environment or an alternative setting.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties. Applicants should have a strong personality, the ability to listen, be able to think on your feet, have a good level of self-motivation and a 'can-do' attitude. Team Teach qualification would be desirable.

Responsibilities will include one-to-one support and general class support, so applicants should display the flexibility to adapt to a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
