Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive and inclusive educational setting in Poole.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, working with students aged 16–18 years.

 

About the Role

  • Position: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Poole
  • Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent opportunities
  • Start Date: Immediate

 

You will be supporting students with SEN needs, focusing on behaviour management and tailored learning strategies.

This role involves working closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment for secondary-aged learners.

 

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in childcare or education, particularly supporting children or young people with SEN needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for helping learners achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
