SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Poole | Immediate Start

We are seeking a caring, resilient and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Poole.

This is a full-time opportunity supporting young people aged 10 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to grow in confidence, manage challenges and re-engage with learning in a meaningful way.

 

Role Details
• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• 8.30am to 4pm
• Immediate start available
• Supporting students aged 10–16
• Working closely with teachers to provide emotional, academic and behavioural support

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, ideally supporting young people with SEN/SEMH needs
• A patient, proactive and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to school location

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
