Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a well respected school in the Wigan LEA to recruit two Behaviour Support Mentor's for positions that are set to open in January 2019.

This is an excellent opportunity for Behaviour Support Mentors that are located in, or close to Wigan and are now looking for full-time Behaviour Support Mentor opportunities in January where they would be supporting the learning of identified individuals within a supportive secondary school.

We are currently working closely with a well respected school in the Wigan LEA to recruit two Behaviour Support Mentor's for positions that are set to open in January 2019.

Behaviour Support Mentor

  • Full-time Behaviour Support Mentor positions starting in January 2019
  • Competitive pay with expected earnings in the region of £1200 a month
  • Progression opportunities available with potential to earn a permanent contract
  • Must have experience supporting pupils of the ages 11-16
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for an update service registered DBS

The school that wish to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant position have highlighted that they will require an additional dedicated member of staff to support a number of identified pupils who are in need of additional support this academic year. The Pastoral Manager wishes to meet with interested candidates at their earliest convenience and wishes for the incoming members of staff to star in January 2019.

Responsibilities for this role will include;

  • Supporting identified students that struggle to engage with their learning on a 1:1 basis
  • Ensuring that lessons operate smoothly and that students aren't disrupting the learning of other pupils within the class.
  • Providing SEMH support where required, you must be a good listener and show understanding.
  • Be a positive role model for pupils within the school, encouraging good classroom behaviours at all times.

Our client secondary school is larger than the average secondary school in the area with around 900 pupils' currently on roll and holds an excellent reputation in the Hindley area of Wigan. The school is a short drive away from the A577 an ideal location when commuting via a car. Pupils within the school have positive attitudes to learning and their conduct at school is good.
