Pay: £13.75 – £15.66 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We're looking for a caring and committed Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Formby this January.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them thrive in the classroom and beyond. You’ll work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to deliver tailored strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural challenges
  • Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and social skills
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Keeping track of progress and contributing to behaviour support plans

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Knowledge of restorative practices and behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or behaviour training) are a bonus, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
