The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

To be the perfect candidate for this role it is essential that you have experience working with children with extremely challenging behaviour. This does not need to be in a school setting however you must be able show strong behaviour management skills as well as being able to build a strong, trustworthy relationship with the students. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support students on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

The SEMH School

This SEMH school is based in Lambeth and caters to a wide range of students that have SEMH (social, emotional and mental health problems) and so behaviour is very challenging across the school. This SEMH school allows their students to follow the national curriculum however sometimes can be tailored to the needs of the individuals.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
