** Behaviour Specialist Teacher for a Learning Resource Base **

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Behaviour Specialist for a Learning Resource Base in Newport. We are looking for an outstanding teacher with a passion for inclusive education. You will have significant experience in both mainstream and SEN posts, a solid grasp of the impact of needs on learning and exceptional communication skills. A positive, solution focussed and enthusiastic approach is essential.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be able to teach students in the Resource Base
  • Be in consultation with the Lead Teacher, to work in partnership with the host school to promote the full inclusion, attainment and achievement of the pupils in the Learning Resource Base through a whole school approach
  • Have strong classroom presence;
  • To have had previous experience working with challenging behaviour, preferably in Key Stage 2;
  • Be available on short notice;
  • Have recognised Teaching qualification including QTS;
  • Be registered with the education workforce council;
  • Ensure a high standard of teaching;
  • Have experience using a range of formative assessment to assist the learning from day to day;
  • Possess excellent ICT skills and use it effectively to promote the quality of teaching and learning within the classroom;
  • Be eager to work as a part of a team, creating a positive and enthusiastic environment with those around you.
