Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor on behalf of one of our partner secondary schools in Macclesfield. With the new academic year approaching, the Headteacher is seeking a Behaviour Mentor who has previous experience working with students with behavioural issues, to be confident when supporting their students.

• Behaviour Mentor, supporting students in an inclusion unit
• Located in Macclesfield, South Manchester
• Position starting in September, with immediate consideration for the role
• Competitive pay, paid on a weekly basis through our PAYE scheme
• Supporting a range of students in Key Stage 3&4
• Working on a one to one basis and with small groups of students

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be undertaking an extremely rewarding role, making a difference to young student's lives. Supporting Challenging students, you may be required to restrain a student if they are performing reckless behaviour which could hard themselves or someone else. To support this, the secondary school offer many CPD coursed such as, restraint training, safeguarding, teacher training, supporting vulnerable students and many more.

The ideal Behaviour Mentor will;

• Be resilient and take everyday as a new one
• Have confidence supporting challenging students
• Have previous experience supporting students with behavioural issues
• Be competent at supporting students with the main core subjects
• Be able to commit to a full time role
• Want to pursue a career in supporting secondary school students

The Behaviour Mentor role will be located in Macclesfield, just off the A523, with excellent public transport links close by making it accessible for teachers to reach. The successful Behaviour Mentor will be working within the inclusion unit, within the school. With a recent new building, they have produced a great learning environment for the students and a great place to work. With high quality modern equipment, within the inclusion unit, gives the teachers and support staff the best opportunity to teach the students.
