A Secondary Special School in Wakefield, WF6 are currently looking for Behaviour Mentors to join their school from September and make a difference to their pupil's lives. This is a full-time role (Monday - Friday).
You will be working across KS3 and 4 providing 1:1 and group support for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school due to their social, emotional mental health needs and are showcasing challenging behaviour. You will be inspiring and motivating pupils to re-focus on their academic requirements, while providing social and often emotional support and role model guidance. Students with SEMH often display challening behaviour due to being missunderstood and need someone hwo is dedicated to providing care and attention to their needs.
If you have experience working with challenging behaviour you would be a great candidate for this role, we are also looking for candidates who have a background or experience in sports coaching, psychology, youth work or social work. This is a great opportunity for experienced or aspiring Youth Workers and Teachers.
Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential and can be provided by Teaching Personnel. This is an amazing position for someone who is passionate about working with students with challenging behaviour and an opportunity to make a real difference.
