As the largest education supplier of temporary staff, Teaching Personnel are constantly seeking new candidates to work in schools across the UK, in particular, across the Merseyside area. Specifically, this role is to begin at the end of September and continue for the entirety of the academic year. The school SENCO said the reason for this is as follows, ; 'We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to work with a young child who is joining us at the start of October - the child comes from a socially deprived background and needs 1:1 support. The child possesses challenging behaviour traits and will be physically and verbally aggressive towards children and possibly staff. It is essential that the applying candidates have experience of working alongside individuals who can be very challenging, candidates who are not phased by negative attitudes.'
With this in mind, Teaching Personnel are looking to shortlist a number of experienced and qualified teaching assistants who can interview with the Head teacher and SENCO as early as next week with the view to starting the role from October. The role will be full time school working hours - 830-1530 with ½ hour welfare cover. You must be able to commit for the entirety of the role and be happy to take up additional working hours depending on transition work with the child and out of school meetings.
The school is located in the BIRKENHEAD area and tends to fall in a socially deprived background. There is a number of children in school who have special educational needs and challenging behaviour, so it is important to be able to manage behaviour on different levels.
