Autism Teaching Assistant - Redbridge

We are currently looking to recruit an autism teaching assistant to work in a primary school in Redbridge

For this role we are looking for individuals who have experience working in a Pupil referral unit or SEN school and are able to deal with SEN / challenging behaviour.

For this role, we are looking for a teaching assistant with:

  • Experience working with Special educational needs
  • Ability to provide 1:1 support for KS1 & KS2 students with autism, ADHD, MLD and PMLD
  • Promote self-esteem of students with learning difficulties
  • Assist pupils with physical needs such as feeding, personal hygiene
  • Additional training - TEACCH, Safeguarding, Manual Handling training/hoisting

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
