Autism Support worker position. Full-time in Leeds (Pudsey) starting as soon as possible!
A local Leeds (Pudsey) Primary school that Teaching Personnel work closely with are currently looking for a new member of support staff to join their team to support 2 children in Reception with Autism on a 1-2-1 basis starting ideally as soon as possible. Candidates applying for this role must be available full-time (school hours from 8:30am - 3:30pm) and must have recent and relevant experience supporting children on a 1-2-1 basis with Autism. This MUST be evidenced in your CV with applicable references.
This 1-2-1 support assistant role will be working with a primary school rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in the Leeds, LS28 area. The school is located just a 15 minute drive from the Leeds city centre and public transport services are constantly available. The school are looking for a support assistant who has had recent and relevant experience with Autistic children in the last 12 months and who has supported children on a one-to-one basis previously. Autism Level 2 training is desirable however, the school are willing to interview candidates who have experience only.
The Head Teacher is looking for a candidate who has Autism experience (ideally with children aged 4 - 6 years fo age) and who is looking for a full-time / permanent position. Interviews for this role will be taking place on Monday 24th February.

• Candidates must be available school hours and on a full-time basis
• Candidates must have a positive attitude and have the required Autism experience with primary school aged children
• Candidates need to be confident when working with Autistic children of different levels and abilities. This includes planning for differentiation and preparation for one-to-one support
• Candidates need to be open to trial days and must be punctual at all times
• Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and additional trainings
• Candidates must be able to start ideally as soon as possible
