Behaviour Support Assistant Required! Ofsted ‘Good’ Primary School, Bexley (DA5)

  • Skilled senior support
  • The chance to have a positive impact on a child's education
  • Competitive Pay

Are you in search of a teaching assistant role starting in September 2016?

Teaching Personnel is currently working with over 80 primary schools in South East London, and one welcoming and friendly primary school in Bexley (DA5) is searching for a teaching assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism (ASC) on a 1:1 basis.

The school is a larger than a normal 3 form entry primary school, and offers a variety of experience to be gained by the candidate working with children from all backgrounds and alongside a number of skilled staff.

The successful candidate will have a calm nature, great communication skills and ideally recent experience or training working with primary school pupils with Special Educational Needs or, specifically, Autism or ADHD.

Applications are welcomed from teaching assistants of all backgrounds who live locally or are able to travel to South East London for work and even graduates with little school experience but a proactive and positive personality will be considered!

This particular pupil has challenging behaviour in the form of his reluctance to work and disruption to the class, so experience and knowledge of strategies to deal with this would be extremely beneficial.

The role will not be solely supporting this one pupil and you will be able to work with the rest of the class, supporting the individual pupil when he needs the additional support.

To be considered for the role you will need to register with Teaching Personnel with your local South East London and Bexley consultant. This can be done by registering your details online on our website 24/7. To be considered for the role candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check (if not already in possession of a Child Workforce DBS registered on the online update service) and be able to provide details of two references prior to registration.
