SEN Teaching Assistant required to work 1:1 with a year 4 pupil with ADHD

  • Have good behaviour management strategies and be confident whilst working with challenging behaviour.
  • Join a hard working and dedicated team of practitioners
  • Helping Students access the curriculum

We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of popular and successful school in Warwick, to work with a child in Year 4 who has Autism and ADHD, who may also have traits of Pathological Demand Avoidance.

The role:

The boy is very bright and has a nice sense of humour, however he gets anxious and struggles with the demands of day to day school life. The school is looking for someone who is able to set firm boundaries, is adaptable to his sometimes erratic behaviour and able to build a good rapport with him so that they can help support him at school. You will be required to work with the child on a one to one basis, as well as helping other children within the class.

The School:

This is a small 1 form entry OFSTED ‘OUTSTANDING’ school in the CV35 area of Warwick

Career progression:

Although this role will be starting as a temporary role, there is the strong possibility that for the right person, you will be offered a permanent role.

- Must have SEN experience (preferably ADHD)

- Must have a Teaching Assistant or Degree Qualification

- Must have at least 6 months of experience in a UK School

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
