TEACHING ASSISTANT - CARDIFF

Teaching assistant to support with additional learning needs especially literacy and numeracy needed for a Cardiff Secondary School.

The School and Position

  • Position: Role until the end of the Academic year
  • Pay Rates: Up to £300 per week dependant on experience
  • Fixed term contract starting after the half term break
  • Teaching assistant for secondary school pupils aged between 11-19
  • Additional learning needs support
  • Large school with over 1000 pupils
  • Easy transport links. Situated 10 minutes from City Centre

The successful behavioural teaching assistant

  • Educated to Degree level is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience working within a school is desirable
  • Be confident and have the ability to build report with pupils and act as a mentor and support function
  • Work closely with the SENCO
  • Show a passion for education and the capabilities to work in challenging situations
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council
