1-2-1 SEN Support Assistant

A 2 form entry primary school Teaching Personnel work closely with are currently looking for a support assistant who has recent experience working and supporting pupils with SEN (Autism) and would be interested in a full-time position working specifically on a 1-2-1 basis starting ideally in the next 4 weeks.
This support assistant role will be working with a primary school rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in the LS6 area. The school is located just a 15 minute drive from the Leeds city centre and public transport services are constantly available. The school are looking for a support assistant who can work on a 1-2-1 basis with a child who has Autism. Candidates applying for this role must have previous experience working with Autistic pupils in the last 12 months.
Teaching Personnel exclusively offer CPD and key skill courses to our candidates at Leeds Trinity University in order for candidates to up skill their professional skills within the primary teaching sector. To name a few Leeds Trinity offer; Literacy and Mathematical Development across the Curriculum, Planning and questioning for progression, Early Reading and Phonics, Teaching for Learning, Differentiation and Effective Behaviour management!

- Candidates must be available school hours from 8/820 -330/4
- Candidates must have a positive attitude and have the required Autism experience with primary school aged children
- Candidates need to be confident when working with Autistic children of different levels and abilities. This includes planning for differentiation and preparation for 1-2-1 support
- Candidates need to be open to trial days and must be punctual at all times
- Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and additional training
- Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually and must be proactive when supporting and teaching pupils
