Youth Worker Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Youth Worker at one of our partner schools in the Trafford area.

The school follows a ‘child first’ approach to steer young offenders from the ages of 10-17 in the right direction. The students at this centre are often from deprived backgrounds primarily with behavioural and learning difficulties, in addition to problems with their social, emotional and mental health. The appropriate candidate will be able to show confidence when dealing with the situations that can arise working with children with behavioural difficulties. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be intervening when these difficulties arise and guiding the pupil accordingly to help them understand the causes and consequences of their actions. A background in criminology, psychology or counselling and previous relevant experience would be beneficial, however this is not essential. Pay for this position ranges from GBP65 - GBP70 per day, with typical working hours being between 8:30am - 3:30pm.
