Year 4 teaching assistant - specialist in ADHD

Teaching assistant required - Experience working with pupils with ADHD and other special educational needs required

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an excellent school based in Southall, the school itself pride themselves on providing their students with the best staff and educational quality. Being based in Southall the school is easily accessible and focuses on it's multicultural community.

The role:

This role will require possible candidates to provide one to one support and general class support. This may include supporting students with special educational needs, including ADHD. A lot of time will be dedicated to working with the pupil with ADHD within the class, alongside their educational care plan they will require support for half days within the class. As the pupil will be attending additional occupational therapy sessions for half of the day the role will involve then providing general classroom support. Conducting group support sessions and additional intervention will be required. Subsequently the candidates must be be to monitor and evaluate their pupils progression and provide suitable feedback.

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, especially ADHD
  • At least 1 years classroom experience
  • A valid DBS

Based in the heart of Southall this school is looking for a positive and independent teaching assistant to contribute to the learning of their pupils. It is a two form entry school with numerous specialised departments. Being closely connected to all areas of the pupils lives they are involving their family life, educational progression and personal development.

The school is easily accessible by numerous train and bus services, it is a 11 minute walk from Southall station and is connected by numerous bus lines, including the E5 and H32.
