Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Location: Basingstoke

Pay: M1 PayScale

We are looking to appoint a passionate and motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a welcoming and supportive junior school in Basingstoke from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT who is eager to begin their teaching career in a nurturing environment where professional development, collaboration and wellbeing are genuinely valued.

About the Role

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Teaching a KS2 class (year group to be confirmed)
  • Full ECT induction programme in line with statutory guidance
  • Support from experienced mentors and a friendly, committed staff team

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

  • Is completing (or has completed) a PGCE or equivalent and will have QTS by September 2026
  • Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Is enthusiastic, reflective and keen to develop their practice
  • Has high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusive education
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
