Year 2 Maternity Cover – Full Time, Temporary

Start Date: After February half term
Location: Basingstoke
Contract: Full Time, Maternity Contract
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher looking to make a difference in a supportive and nurturing school?

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Year 2 Class Teacher to join an engaging primary school community in Basingstoke from 23^rd February 2026. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note, the school can accommodate to part time (Wednesday – Friday)

• A qualified teacher with QTS
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
• Experience teaching Year 2 pupils
• A nurturing and inclusive approach to teaching and learning
• High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to complete vetting checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
