Year 2 Maternity Cover – Full Time, Temporary
Start Date: After February half term
Location: Basingstoke
Contract: Full Time, Maternity Contract
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher looking to make a difference in a supportive and nurturing school?
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Year 2 Class Teacher to join an engaging primary school community in Basingstoke from 23rd February 2026. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, we’d love to hear from you!
Please note, the school can accommodate to part time (Wednesday – Friday)

- A qualified teacher with QTS
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
- Experience teaching Year 2 pupils
- A nurturing and inclusive approach to teaching and learning
- High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to complete vetting checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
