Year 6 Teacher – Southbourne
Full Time | Paid to Scale | Start Date: Easter 2026
Are you an experienced and confident Year 6 Teacher looking for your next full-time opportunity in Southbourne?
We are working with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school seeking a dedicated Y6 Teacher who can confidently lead a class through this crucial stage of their primary journey. This is a full-time role and pay to scale.
The Role:
-
Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
-
Deliver engaging and structured lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
-
Prepare pupils for SATs with confidence and clarity
-
Implement strong behaviour management strategies to create a focused learning environment
-
Work collaboratively with staff, parents and SLT
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 6
-
Strong behaviour management skills
-
A secure understanding of the Upper KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
-
Passionate, organised and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils
