Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant – A Primary School in South Liverpool

- Opportunity to secure a long-term position within a popular Primary School in Liverpool

- Experience supporting children in a primary setting, ideally within Key Stage 2

- Full-time teaching assistant with optional welfare duties

A Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant is required as soon as possible, ideally Tuesday April 4th 2021, within a popular primary school in South Liverpool. Teaching Personnel is seeking a teaching assistant who is proactive and has prior experience working within a primary setting. The position is to fill a gap in staffing, and it would be to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. The Head Teacher has said there may be an option for the role to become permanent.

The class is average sized with 29 pupils and the majority of children are working in towards with the age-related expectation. You would be supporting the class teacher during core and foundation subjects. In some afternoon sessions you may have the opportunity to work with small groups of children to provide intervention sessions. The Head Teacher has commented that they would like to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant who is committed, and they would be keen to meet with suitable candidates who are interested in the role.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Salary: GBP10.20- GBP12.20 per hour

Start date: May 2021

End date: July 2021 (possibility of becoming a permanent role)

The Head Teacher is looking for the following:

-        Level 2 or above qualification

-        An experienced Primary Practitioner

-        Keen to commit to a long term role

-        Ability to work independently or part of a team
