Job description

KS2 Teacher – Art & Science (Afternoon Cover)
Location: Dorchester
Start Date: After Easter
Contract: Long-term, part-time afternoons

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Dorchester to recruit a dedicated KS2 Teacher for a long-term afternoon role, starting after Easter.

This position is ideal for a teacher looking for consistency in a long-term placement while focusing on creative and engaging subject delivery.

The Role:

  • Teaching Art and Science across Key Stage 2

  • Afternoon cover only

  • Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons

  • Encouraging creativity, curiosity and practical learning

  • Maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment

  • Working closely with school staff to ensure continuity of learning

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or has relevant KS2 teaching experience

  • Confident teaching Art and Science

  • Engaging, adaptable and reliable

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • DBS on the Update Service preferred, but applicants are welcome to apply for a DBS through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
