Experienced Year 5 Teacher – Full Time

Primary School, Wigan
Start: April

An established primary school in Wigan is looking to appoint a highly experienced, assured Year 5 teacher from April. This post is suited to a confident Upper KS2 educator who brings clarity, consistency and ambition to the classroom. This school is seeking a teacher who is secure in their practice and able to lead learning with confidence.

What You’ll Be Trusted With:

  • Delivering purposeful, well-paced lessons that prepare pupils for the demands of Upper KS2 and beyond
  • Establishing clear routines and expectations that promote focus, independence and positive behaviour
  • Using assessment intelligently to adapt teaching and raise attainment
  • Contributing to team planning, moderation and wider school life

The Right Educator Will:

  • Hold QTS and have proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2
  • Be confident teaching pupils working at and above age-related expectations
  • Demonstrate strong classroom presence and behaviour management
  • Be adaptable, resilient and solution-focused
  • Have a clear understanding of how to support a wide range of needs, including SEND and SEMH

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
