Year 1 Teacher – Full Time

Primary School - Wigan
Start Date: Easter Term

We are working with a friendly and nurturing primary school in Wigan who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from the Easter term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early Key Stage 1 education and committed to helping pupils build strong foundations in their learning journey.

The Role:

  • Full-time Year 1 class teacher position.
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils through the transition from EYFS into KS1.
  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment.
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Have experience in EYFS or KS1 (ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach.
  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and child-focused.
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
