Year 5 Class Teacher – Full Time
Location: Leigh
Start Date: 23rd February (After Feb Half Term)

We are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Leigh who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from after the February Half-Term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is confident in lower Key Stage 2 and is keen to make a positive impact in a welcoming school environment.

The role will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assessing, tracking and supporting pupil progress.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (or be in the process of obtaining it).
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Or be willing to obtain one).
  • Have experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 5.
  • Be confident with behaviour management and classroom routines.
  • Be passionate about pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Be adaptable, reflective and eager to contribute to a supportive team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
