A Central Manchester Primary School (M14) is currently seeking a well-experienced teaching assistant for a three form entry primary school in the heart of Manchester. The post will start after Christmas and will run up until summer. This ‘GOOD’ Primary school prides itself on ‘making learning interactive’ so needs a proactive teaching assistant who can adapt lessons tot suit the needs of the children.
The school requires a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 child who has severe ADHD in day to day school life. The successful candidate will be expected to assist the child during lessons as well as taking them for 1:1 interventions. They will also be expected to assist the class teacher with general duties.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with SEN and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate children as well as being able to work effectively in a team. Experience of the National Curriculum and phonic schemes will be advantageous.
