Job description

ADHD Support Assistant:

-          Behaviour support assistant.

-          Full Time.

-          Chorley based.

-          Secondary School.

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a ADHD Support Assistant to support at a Mainstream Secondary School within Chorley, Lancashire. This role requires someone with previous experience supporting children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and with an understanding of the strategies used to support children within the classroom to focus on the work and complete classwork.

Responsibilities:

-          Support the children to complete their work.

-          Helping the children stay focussed on the task at hand.

-          Removing any triggers for children.

-          Working closely with the class teacher.

-          Communicating with the additional support team.

-          Completing observations and passing these onto the class teacher.

-          Supporting the children to hit targets.

Essential:

-          Experience with ADHD.

-          Experience within secondary schools.

-          Knowledge of ADHD triggers.

-          Knowledge of ADHD support strategies.

-          Strong communication skills.

-          Patience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
