Year 2 Teacher

A school we work closely with at Teaching Personnel are looking for a fully qualified teacher to start as soon as possible to fill a long-term position which may lead to a permanent contract. The Primary School position may involve working with a number of different schools within the Leeds area, therefore candidates need to be flexible with availability and have access to a vehicle.

Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, this school lies within the heart of LS21. This particular school are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who can help raise pupil attainment in all core subjects across the KS1 curriculum in order to improve SATs results this summer. The school are looking for a new teacher who has recent experience in KS1 and who is interested in running new initiatives to help pupils progress to their maximum potential. This may involve delivering other Interventions such as; Literacy, Numeracy and Behaviour.

• Candidates must be available school  hours and flexible with day to day and long-term work
• Candidates must have a positive attitude and have experience working with young people in a primary education environment
• Candidates must be enthusiastic and confident when working with primary school aged children of all levels and abilities
• Candidates need to be open to trial days and providing interventions for the school to improve and increase their pupil attainment and engagement levels
• Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning  as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and trainings
• Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually
• Candidates must have an up-to-date CV and a 6 year career history
