Year 2 Teacher required in Liverpool

  • Classroom based experience and references from within the last 12 months in Key Stage 1 are essential for this role
  • Experience planning, delivering and assessing the Key Stage 1 curriculum including SATs is highly sought after for this role
  • Long term job opportunity, payed in line with M Scale up to £33160 per annum

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Catholic client school that are looking to recruit a KS1 Teacher to start in October 2017. The school is a large Primary school based in North Liverpool and they are looking for a Year 2 Teacher due to a planned absence coming up in school. Initially the role will be until February half term however the role may continue until the end of the academic year.

It was graded ‘Requires Improvement’ in its last Ofsted report and there was halted progress made by the pupils through key stage 1 and attainment levels are well below the national average by the end of key stage 2. This is something the new Headteacher is looking to change in the next couple of years alongside improving the Ofsted grading.

The Year 2 class consists of 27 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. There are a small number of pupils in the class with additional needs however; there is 1 Teaching Assistants in place to offer support and guidance throughout the placement. The school are looking for someone with experience of working in Year 2 and the SATs process to accelerate learning in an underperforming year group and help them reach their full potential.

The school is located near the East Lancs road and is easily accessible from all around the city with nearby transport links including bus routes and a train station, there is free on site parking for all staff with secure gated parking.
