** Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Maternity Cover **

** Fluent Welsh Speaker **

** Blaenau Gwent **

** To start: February 18th (possibly earlier) **

** £1080-£1200 per month **

A Welsh client school in Blaenau Gwent are looking for a Welsh speaking Teaching Assistant to work a maternity cover post to begin in February. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a school setting or nursery setting and will have sufficient knowledge and understanding of how the Foundation Phase works within a welsh medium school.

To be considered for this post, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant/Nursery Assistant;
  • To be aware of how the Tric a Chlic systematic phonics reading scheme works;
  • Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided);
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border;
  • Provide at least two professional or character references;
  • Be available to interview and/or trial asap.
