Primary Year 1/KS1 teacher needed in Tower Hamlets

  • Year 1 Teacher – excellent opportunity for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a Tower Hamlets school that consistently achieves above average!
  • Are you a strong, authoritative Year 1 or Key Stage 1 Teacher looking to make the move in to a well-established, supportive Primary school where you can flourish?
  • Do you have a strong appetite for teaching and enjoy the thrill of seeing your students achieve higher than the year before?

The Year 1 Teacher Person Specification

The school will be looking to see a Year 1 Teacher who is strong, personable, comes with good curriculum knowledge, and who has ideally been rated 'Good' or better from any recent teaching observations. With the school looking to kick on and achieve ‘Outstanding’ at their next inspection, they will be paying particular attention to Teachers with a proven record of raising attainment, and also any strong behaviour managers too

The Year 1Teacher Role

As a dedicated Year 1 Teacher, You will be providing an imaginative and stimulating learning environment for students. You will be ably supported in-class by a full-time Teaching Assistant, who will be able to lead small groups for you should you have a need! Use your existing curriculum knowledge and your creative, interactive lessons to help students of all abilities achieve higher levels than last year. Students in this group achieved above average last year so they are a bright group but there is of course room for improvement in their learning this year. In addition to a solid teaching opportunity, you will also get the chance to join up to the schools in-house CPD training scheme, which will gear you towards thinking and acting like a school Leader!
