  • Encourage students to develop problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH.
  • Build positive relationships that motivate students to engage with learning.
  • Celebrate progress and help students overcome barriers to achievement.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment where every student can thrive.

Who We're Looking For

  • Passionate about Mathematics and eager to share that enthusiasm with young people.
  • Holders of a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every student succeed.
  • Interested in a future career in teaching, educational psychology, tutoring, or wider education.

Why Choose Teaching Personnel?

  • Competitive daily pay of £90–£110, paid weekly.
  • Access to a network of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Gateshead.
  • Free CPD courses, including Safeguarding, Behaviour Management, THRIVE, SEND Awareness, and more.
  • A dedicated consultant who will support you throughout your placement and help you achieve your career goals.
  • Opportunities to progress into long-term, permanent, and teacher training pathways.
  • The chance to gain invaluable classroom experience that employers and teacher training providers highly value.

If you're ready to turn your passion for Mathematics into a rewarding role where you can inspire young people and develop your own career, we'd love to hear from you.
