Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Gateshead
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)
Salary: £92.63–£100 per day (depending on experience)

The Role
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to enhance learning and confidence.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the curriculum.
- Encourage positive attitudes towards learning, helping pupils develop resilience, independence, and a growth mindset.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued, safe, and supported.
- Help promote high standards of behaviour, respect, and wellbeing throughout the school.
- Gain hands-on experience that will support future career progression within education.
What We're Looking For
- Educated to degree level (Education-related degrees are advantageous but not essential).
- Passionate about supporting children and young people to succeed.
- Eager to gain practical experience within a school setting.
- Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Positive role models who embody respect, kindness, patience, and professionalism.
- Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if one is not already in place.
