Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Caring School Community as a Teaching Assistant!
Location: Waterloo, Liverpool
Start: September 2025 
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (39 weeks per year)
Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour

We’re a warm, welcoming primary school at the heart of the Waterloo community, and we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom, one-to-one or in small groups

  • Helping children develop key skills in reading, writing, and maths

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

  • Assisting with creative learning activities, resources, and classroom displays

  • Supervising pupils during breaktimes and lunchtimes

  • Providing day-to-day support with classroom tasks and pupil wellbeing


✅ What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with children

  • A positive, caring attitude and excellent teamwork skills

  • Good basic literacy and numeracy (GCSEs or equivalent)

  • Willingness to learn, full training will be provided via Teaching Personnel

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with children (nursery, youth work, etc.)

  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
