Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Waterloo, Liverpool. This role is based in a specialist SEN class, providing essential support to pupils with Autism, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.

SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism Support
Waterloo, Liverpool
Temporary to Permanent Position


The Role

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to children with Autism

  • Implement and track progress against EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) targets

  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure an inclusive classroom environment

  • Promote development of communication and social interaction skills

  • Support students in managing sensory needs and behaviours effectively


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with Autism (ideally in a school setting)

  • Knowledge of EHCPs and ability to support individual learning goals

  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with SEN

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
