1:1 KS1Teaching Assistant – Exclusive Vacancy through Teaching Personnel

  • Location: Bootle, Liverpool
  • Full-time: Monday to Friday 8:40am – 3:20pm
  • Pay: from £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel is working with a Catholic Primary school in Bootle who are seeking to book a 1:1 Teaching Assistant through Teaching Personnel for the Autumn term, with the potential of a permanent contract from January 2026. You will be providing one-to-one support with a pupil in Year 1 who displays some challenging behaviour and has ADHD.

The SEN support team are close knit, and you will be working alongside colleagues with over 30 years experience collectively. Due to the role being through Teaching Personnel, you will have access to CPD such as Thrive Approach (which is a must have on CVs!) and Team Teach (onsite 2-day course) and others such as Level 2 Teaching Assistant Diploma.

The school has indicated they welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds beyond education, including Youth Work, Care Work, Policing, Support Work, the Armed Forces, Sports Coaching, and similar fields.

If you are shortlisted form the school, you will be expected to go in on a trial day to work with the child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
