eaching Personnel – Exclusive Pastoral Support Role
Behaviour-Focused Teaching Assistant Required – Central Liverpool

PAYE Contract: Daily rate from £89 - £102 per day depending on experience

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a forward-thinking school in the heart of Central Liverpool, part of a newly established Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This role sits within the pastoral team, with a specific focus on behaviour support and wellbeing.

The school has a nurturing and inclusive ethos and is seeking someone who is confident, compassionate, and proactive in supporting pupils’ emotional and behavioural development. The ideal candidate will work closely with the SENCo, pastoral lead, and wider staff to help create a calm and structured learning environment for all pupils.

Role Details:

  • Start: September 2025, until December 2025, with potential for permanent placement from January 2026.

  • Trial days will be held on-site, with informal chats with school leadership at the end of the day.

  • A great opportunity for individuals passionate about pastoral care, pupil welfare, and behaviour support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people outside of the education sector, or in a completely different sector such as Care / Youth Work etc

  • A calm, consistent approach to behaviour management

  • Ability to build positive relationships and de-escalate challenging situations

  • Willingness to complete additional CPD such as Team Teach, Thrive etc

  • Commitment to full-time hours and the school’s pastoral vision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
