Teaching Support - Maidenhead

Job description

Teaching personnel is currently working with an ASD provision in Maidenhead that is looking for a teaching assistant to join them until the end of the academic year. With the strong possibility that you can remain for September on a Temporary to Permanent contract. The school caters for pupils aged 4 to 16 and has been rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in every category.

You will be working with year 3 and 4 pupils , although flexibility is highly valued as you may on occasion be required to work with older pupils. You will have experience working in a similar environment and will be happy to provide personal care, including changing.

The site is a specialist autism provision and includes an onsite multi-disciplinary team including a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language. The school boasts small class sizes with 1:1 intervention support for the pupils.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience at a specialist ASD school in Maidenhead. By working with Teaching Personnel you will work with a dedicated SEN Consultant

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
