Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside an outstanding school in Blyth, Northumberland, to recruit a passionate, experienced Learning Support Assistant to work alongside children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a full time basis. The children you will be working with will have a range of SEND and demand the commitment and dedication of a Teaching Assistant to help engage with their education and learning experience. The children will have various learning difficulties such as: 

- ADHD
- ASC
- Dyslexia and Dyspraxia 
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties 
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Due to the competitive nature of this role, the successful candidate must have: 

- Experience working with SEND such as: Support Work, Behaviour Support, Teaching Assistant, Youth Work or working alongside vulnerable people
- A Child Workforce Only DBS on the Update Service / or be happy to get one 
- Or experience with SEND through personal relations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
