Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in our client school in Bournemouth. This is a full time role to start in January 2019 (or earlier depending on your availability).
- Monday - Friday, 9-3.30
- SEN Support - Autism
- Full Time
The schools Autism department is a close knit and supportive team which are always trying to improve the students education by introducing fun and interactive ways to enhance their school day. The school are fortunate to have high end resources and have access to the latest equipment the is specialised to each pupils needs.To be successful in this role you should:
- You will be working within the classroom, supporting the teacher with the lessons. You will be working both on a 1-1 basis and with small groups. The class sizes are small, usually around 6 pupils, and there will also be other TA's in the class. Due to their needs, the pupils can display challenging behaviour and you should be confident supporting this.
- The school is an SEN School in Bournemouth catering for pupils with Autism. The school caters for children from 4-16 years old. The school has on-site parking and is easily reachable by public transport.
- have experience supporting Autism; either within an education setting or on a personal basis
- be confident supporting challenging behaviour
- be flexible and adaptable to working with different ages/classes
