Teaching Assistant - Learning and Behaviour Support

South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, mixed secondary school in South Manchester (Stockport) who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant specialising in learning and behaviour support for the new academic year (September 2019) on a temporary and flexible basis.

The secondary school located in South Manchester is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is able to support pupil engagement across a range of core subjects, with the aim of early intervention.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has previous experience working with young people in a similar capacity, especially challenging behaviours, and who can build a strong rapport with pupils.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Learning and Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, your role will require you provide extra interventional support to identified pupils in the classroom, in smaller groups and on a 1:1 basis. You will act as a positive learning mentor and so the ideal candidate will have a background in roles such as youth work, sports coaching or social care.

The School

The secondary school requiring a Behaviour and Learning mentor / TA is located just outside of central Manchester in Stockport. It can be accessed easily by both car and public transport from near by areas such as Tameside and Trafford.

The school is very well established with a supportive leadership team who are shifting their focus on pastoral support from the new academic year and so are looking for the perfect Teaching Assistant to join the team!
