Teaching Assistant

We are working with a School in the Mackworth area that is a Primary School with a high percentage of SEN students. 

Although the School is a mainstream School - they have 2 units that cater for students with both low and high functioning autism. 

They require Relief Teaching Assistants to work across the school as and when required, to support teaching and learning. The successful applicant needs to be able to respond our pupils learning levels and support pupils in all areas including personal care and self-help skills.

Applicants need to have a love of learning, enjoy a challenge and have the ability to develop strategies in problem solving. We require a person who has enthusiasm, energy and is able to contribute positively to the team working of the class and the whole school.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work across the school.

The ideal candidate: 

• SEN experience 
• Knowledge of Makakton and PECs
• Comfortable with personal care 
• Able to work across all age ranges 
• Available at least 3 days a week

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
