About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and families, you will help deliver personalised learning and care that enables each child to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning and behavioural needs
• Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons and therapeutic activities
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
• Help implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour support strategies
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Contribute to pupil progress reviews and maintain accurate records

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
• A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
