Job description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?

Do you have the empathy, patience, and resilience to support students who face mental health and emotional challenges?

We are dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential — academically, socially, and emotionally. We provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.

We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our compassionate and skilled team. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment for students aged 11-16.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting students with a range of mental health needs to engage in classroom learning and activities
  • Building positive, trusting relationships that foster confidence and resilience
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
  • Encouraging emotional regulation and social development through patience and understanding
  • Promoting a calm and consistent approach to behaviour and wellbeing support

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school, youth work or care setting preferred but we can consider those with experience supporting their children with additional needs in their personal life)
  • Is empathetic, reliable, and committed to helping every child thrive
  • Can remain calm under pressure and use initiative when challenges arise
  • Is eager to learn, reflect, and grow as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team

In return, we offer:

  • Comprehensive training in mental health awareness and therapeutic education
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression
  • A welcoming, collaborative team who genuinely care
  • The chance to make a lasting difference in young people’s lives every single day

If you’re motivated by compassion and purpose, and believe in the power of education to change lives, we’d love to hear from you.
