Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Primary School in Urmston
Full-Time | Start Date: ASAP

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career?
Teaching Personnel is excited to be partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Urmston, currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a school that values collaboration, creativity, and high standards for both pupils and staff. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning across the curriculum, lead group sessions, and step into whole-class teaching when needed.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of lessons across various year groups
  • Leading small group interventions and, when required, whole-class sessions
  • Assisting in monitoring and assessing pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to meet individual learning needs

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent – Level 4 or above)
  • Demonstrated experience in a primary school setting
  • A solid grasp of the National Curriculum
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to supporting pupils
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

⭐ Desirable (But Not Essential):

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, such as autism, dyslexia, or speech and language needs
  • Confidence using educational technology to support learning
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to different classroom situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
