Teaching Assistant – Year 6 | Primary School in Rusholme | January Start

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected primary school in Rusholme. The school is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 team from January. This is a full-time position, working 8:30am–3:30pm, supporting pupils through a crucial stage of their primary education.

The successful candidate will be warm, adaptable, and driven, with a genuine passion for helping children thrive both academically and personally. You will play a key role in supporting classroom learning, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring every child is equipped with the confidence and skills they need as they prepare for secondary school.

Key Requirements

• A practising Catholic or someone willing to actively support the Catholic ethos and values of the school
• Recent and relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary setting
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or equivalent)
• Confident and consistent behaviour management skills
• A solid understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly upper Key Stage 2

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
