Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Worsley that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from November 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or a confident Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in their education career. The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and school leaders, you will help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally while contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups to raise attainment and support progress.
• Lead pre-planned lessons and provide classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and senior leaders.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement in learning.
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support successful outcomes.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold HLTA status or have substantial experience working within a primary school setting.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Be confident delivering lessons and leading learning activities independently.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Be organised, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Previous experience leading interventions, covering classes, or supporting teaching across multiple year groups would be advantageous.
