Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | Openshaw | September 2026 Start
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Openshaw, seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September.

The Opportunity
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you will lead intervention groups, provide targeted support to pupils, and help create an engaging and inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons across the curriculum
- Lead targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Assist with lesson preparation and the development of learning resources
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment activities
- Provide support for pupils with additional learning or emotional needs
- Build strong working relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
